Payne Hall PHY 2048 - General Physics w/ Calculus I - (BC Course Description and Outline) Part one of a two term comprehensive course in physics involving the use of calculus in problem solving. Topics include mechanics, heat, wave motion and sound. See below for the complete sequence: PHY 2048 - General Physics w/ Calculus I to be taken concurrently with PHY 2048L - General Physics w/ Calculus I Laboratory General Physics is geared towards students majoring in the Sciences. For students wishing to take General Physics involving the use of algebra and trigonometry, please see PHY 2053. Students may sign up for this course without being placed by the Testing Center or meeting with the Associate Dean. This course is transferrable in a degree seeking program. The accompanying laboratory (PHY 2048L) is offered concurrently.
