Payne Hall GLY 1100 - Historical Geology - (BC Course Description and Outline) An earth systems study of the origin and evolution of the earth and the history of life on our planet. The course encompasses the causes and effects of mass extinction on the history of life, and the role of plate tectonics on the geologic and biologic evolution of earth. Field trips are optional. Students may sign up for this course without being placed by the Testing Center or meeting with the Associate Dean. This course is transferrable in a degree seeking program. The accompanying laboratory (GLY 1100L) is offered concurrently.
