Payne Hall CHM 2210 - Organic Chemistry I (BC Course Description and Outline) This course presents the structure, preparation, reaction, and nomenclature of various classes of hydrocarbons and their derivatives. Reaction electronic mechanisms are interpreted and unified in the light of modern theory. Students may sign up for this course without being placed by the Testing Center or meeting with the Associate Dean. This course is transferrable in a degree seeking program. Organic Chemistry is geared towards students majoring in the Sciences. Organic Chemistry I is the first part of a two sequence program for Organic Chemistry.
