Payne Hall CHM 1045 - General Chemistry I (BC Course Description and Outline) Topics covered include chemical measurements, stoichiometry, atomic structure, periodic table, chemical bonding, inorganic compounds nomenclature and formula writing, gases, liquids, solids, solutions, acid-base chemistry and ionic reactions and descriptive chemistry of non-metals. Students may sign up for this course without being placed by the Testing Center or meeting with the Associate Dean. This course is transferrable in a degree seeking program. General Chemistry is geared towards students majoring in the Sciences. General Chemistry I is the first part of a two sequence condensed program for General Chemistry.
