CHM 1041 - General Chemistry B (Expanded Sequence)  (BC Course Description and Outline)

This course further develops modern chemical concepts, including, gases, liquids, solids, solutions, acid-base chemistry, ionic reactions, oxidation-reduction reactions, thermodynamics and descriptive chemistry of non-metals.

Students may sign up for this course without being placed by the Testing Center or meeting with the Associate Dean. This course is transferrable in a degree seeking program.

General Chemistry is geared towards students majoring in the Sciences.

General Chemistry B is the second part of a three sequence expanded program for General Chemistry. See below for the complete sequence:

CHM 1040 - General Chemistry A
CHM 1041 - General Chemistry B to be taken concurrently with CHM 1045L - General Chemistry I Laboratory
CHM 1046 - General Chemistry C to be taken concurrently with CHM 1046L - General Chemistry II Laboratory

[The condensed sequence General Chemistry courses are CHM 1045 with CHM 1045L and CHM 1046 with CHM 1046L.]

This course is offered concurrently with CHM 1045L.
